Overview
Sendero, Spanish for path, was the first neighborhood developed in Rancho Mission Viejo starting in 2012 and offers a variety of homes and condos to meet various lifestyle needs. Sendero is located on the corner of Antonio Parkway and Ortega Highway and is nestled into the base of the foothills.
Sendero consists of 1,334 homes spread across 11 different builder tracts or subdivisions. Most of the single family homes sit up on the hillsides with some having views into the valley and the condo or townhome developments sit on both sides of Antonio Parkway offering varying plans. Also within Sendero are four subdivisions as part of the Gavilan 55 plus offering single story floor plans.
Sendero offers various amenities including a clubhouse, pool, farm, and the Sendero Marketplace within a grocery store, food, retail, and healthcare.

Sendero features 11 different builder tracts with condos ranging from approximately 1,000-1,700 square feet with 1-4 bedrooms and single family homes ranging up to 5 bedrooms and approximately 3,000 square feet. There are three condo and townhome developments, four Gavilian 55 plus, and four single family. Sendero offers various amenities with parks, a clubhouse, pickleball courts, sports fields, shopping center, and private facilities for those living at Gavilian 55 plus. There are also trails that connect into the community that lead over to the Esencia neighborhood and all the way down to the beach, whether you want to be on foot or go by bike.
