Overview
Laguna Beach is a community of approximately 23,000 residents known for its scenic beaches and coves, environmental protection, and artist community. The city remains relatively isolated and has its own unique feel given the limited access and rolling hillsides and protected lands (approximately 6 miles of state marine reserve and over 1 mile of conservation area). Tourism is the biggest industry driving nearly 6 million visitors a year with numerous hotels and resorts.
LOCATION
Laguna Beach is a coastal resort community in South Orange County and borders Dana Point to the south, Newport Coast (a part of the city of Newport Beach) to the northwest, Aliso Viejo to the northeast and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest.
The community can be accessed via the 133 freeway / highway off interstate 5, the 405 freeway or the 73 Toll Road heading west or via Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1).
